a.  Explain why in the United States there is a separation of power between branches of government and levels of government.
b.  Name the three levels of government (national, state, local) and the three branches in each (executive, legislative, judicial) including the names of the legislative branch (Congress, General Assembly, county commission or city council).
c.  State an example of the responsibilities (duties) of each level and branch of government.

The Zac Sunderland Story

Do you know any 16 year-olds? If so, have they ever sailed around the world alone?  Chances are unless you know Zac Sunderland, you have never even met an adult who has sailed around the world alone.  Zac's story is one of bravery, determination and skill. He spent a year soloing around the world.  He encountered many dangers on the high seas including pirates!
